A new report has revealed the alleged reasons behind the sudden illness of Nigeria’s Minister of Finance, Wale Edun, who reportedly fell ill on the eve of his planned departure to Washington, D.C., for the World Bank Fall Meetings.

Some sources who opened up to Sahara Reporters said that the Minister’s collapse was not because of a medical condition as earlier reported, but was allegedly linked to a shocking security revelation that left him terrified.
The source said, “The new revelation that led to the abrupt illness of the Minister of Finance of Nigeria, Wale Edun, who was suddenly ill on the eve of his trip to Washington, DC, was that he saw his name on the kill list.”

After initial government denials that he had been flown abroad for medical treatment, the minister was later spotted in London, confirming earlier reports about his health trip.

“Edun collapsed upon being shown a kill list purportedly prepared by a group of military officers who reportedly were planning to overthrow President Tinubu’s regime in a violent manner,” the source said.
